U-Pick at S & S Farms, Inc.   The brilliant flavor of our fruit is something that can only be achieved by ripening on the vine. The nutritional value of the fruit is increased substantially if it is allowed to ripen on the vine naturally. This is something that you just can’t buy in a store.   Our U-Pick is located on the corner of Deans Hill and Painter School Rd. in Berrien Center, MI. Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday thru Saturday from mid June thru Mid November. We feature the very popular and sweet tasting All-Star Strawberries. This berry is great for freezing or eating fresh with ice cream or shortcake. It’s fabulous color, shape and taste will make you want to pick more and more.   Cherry The tart cherry U-Pick is located on Deans Hill Rd. in Berrien Center, MI. Cherry season begins the first of July and normally lasts for 10 to 14 days. We have a cherry pitter where you can have your cherries pitted for free. Bring the entire family for a day of fun out in the country.   Raspberry The Raspberry U-Pick starts at the end of June and continues into July. The Raspberry’s come on at the end of the Strawberry season and continue into the Tart Cherry season. Our Red & Black Raspberry’s have an excellent flavor, and we refer to this tasty little fruit as Natures Candy.    Peach Our peach u-pick starts at the end of July and lasts approximately 3 weeks. Early Red Havens are the first variety of peach that we pick. We then continue with Red Havens, Glo Havens and Crest Havens. Come taste the wonderful flavor of  sun ripened peaches. All varieties are great for canning or eating fresh.    Apple Our Apple U-Pick will start around the 25 th of September. We have several varieties of apples including Paula Reds, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Cortlands, Jonathan’s, Empire, McIntosh, Red Romes and Ida Reds.
